They as each day, who is she?
That girl whose hair they cannot see.
No matter how hot it is outside
She covers her body up with pride
Short and tank-tops she wont wear
And veiled, as always, is her hair
She came new to their school this year
Their ignorance, it feeds their fear
At lunch, they leave her all alone
When she says "hi" they all just groan.
Terrorist is all they see
But Pacifist is what is real.
She cannot even hurt a fly
The truth, she's taught not to deny.
Five times a day she speaks to God
Praying to not be seen as odd.
She wishes they would take the chance
And just give her a second glance
In this glance, they'll finally see
She's as human as can be !
She laughs, she cries,
She hopes, she tries,
She sees, she feels,
She eats three meals.
But most of all, she needs a friend
Who will, her lunchtime, with her spend.
But all she does is patiently wait
And with her love deflect their hate.
